The creative force behind the Nubian Jak innovation is the former model and musician turned media personality, Jak Beula. The trademark is owned by Nubian Jak Limited which has a staff team of 4 full-time and 3 part-time.

The company is responsible for producing an animation series called The Polaris Factor (also a novel), various Activities including the TV/stage game show Who Knows Jak and merchandise. However, to date the company is best known for marketing the award winning Nubian Jak Game, and replaceable card sets i.e. Nubian Jak Playing Cards . The game continues to attract media attention and is still referred to as a “world first” because it remains the only commercial board game on general release that highlights the global contributions people of color have made to the world.

Currently in its fourth edition, the International Anniversary Edition of Nubian Jak has replaceable cards that can be purchased to keep the game current. This too is unique in board games, as it allows the consumer to customize the game to their own particular preference.

There is also a Harper Collins commissioned book entitled Book of World Facts available, as well as an Education Academy where Education Workshops are on offer to the public and private sector.
